# Quickstart

> Go from an API key to your first issued card.

  <Step title="Create an API key">
    Sign in to the [Nadcab Labs Console](https://cc.nadcab.com) and open **Settings → Key & Access**. Create a key and copy it. Keys start with `ncl_`.

    Store the key on your server only. See [Authentication](/authentication).

  <Step title="Check your balance">
    Cards are funded from your account balance.

    To add funds, get a deposit address with [Get deposit address](/api-reference/account/get-deposit-address) and send USDT or USDC to it.

  <Step title="Pick a BIN">
    List the BINs your account can issue on, with their fees, limits and verification requirements.

  <Step title="Create a card">
    Pass the BIN `id` or `bin`, an initial top-up amount, and your own reference in `clientTransactionId`.

    The response returns a transaction ID. Card creation is asynchronous: the card details arrive in a `CreateCard` [webhook](/guides/webhooks).

    Register your endpoint with [Set webhook URL](/api-reference/api-settings/set-webhook-url) and reply with the plain text `success` to every event.
